Features
- 550 feet of range to other headsets and the gateway.
- Up to 8 headsets can talk to each other in a work group.
- No gateway needed to talk to the other headsets in the set since they are built like a radio, not using DECT technology.
- Internal Antenna – Dalcomm wireless headsets and gateway are now upgraded to an internal antenna. It’s less stuff to break.
- On/Off/Volume control – Easy to just turn on and use. Just turn the knob and ‘click’, it’s on and you can talk to the crew. Keep turning the knob to turn the volume up.
- Battery indicator – It is critical to know battery status. This headset has real time battery indicator light set, green, green, yellow, red. on the side of the headset that come on when you turn the headset on. It’s better than the competition because it’s not a voice prompt or series of flashes, it can be seen immediately.
- Charging – Each kit comes with charging cables for headsets and gateway inside the case. This includes a power supply brick with multiple USB ports that the cables plug into. That’s all hidden in the foam in the case. Charging cables are available separately too.
- Talk through – These headsets now have a button that you press to hear the outside sound.
- Broad frequency response earphones and microphone mean all communications are clear, and understandable.
Work Groups
- Group ID – We’ve added a rubber ring to the place where the headband attaches to the ear cup. There are 7 colors available. If you put three rings on a headset you get 343 possible different work groups, arranged by mixing the colored rings.
- Easy to use programming software. You set the workgroup with Dalcomm Wireless software. It’s easy to use, drop down menus let you set the workgroup that you want the headset connected to. Then you can just pop a new colored band on the headset and you’re good to go, no down time. If you work with one of our resellers like Ramp Communications or DCG Radio, you can set up additional support services, including repair service, to keep you up and running all the time.
Testimonial From Someone Who Knows
Here’s what Tim from Ramp Communications says about our system:
“For many years the airline ground support communication headset market has been dominated
by a small number of manufacturers, most notably ***** ***** Company. While these systems
are widely used, airlines and ground service providers have frequently expressed concerns
regarding wireless pairing complexity, durability in harsh ramp environments, and the cost
associated with repairs and maintenance. Maintenance departments frequently encounter pairing
issues, lost connections, and configuration difficulties that create operational frustration and
downtime on the ramp.
Because of these challenges, many airline maintenance and ground operations departments have
expressed interest in improved systems that provide simpler wireless operation, better durability,
and clearer operational feedback to the user.
The Dalcomm Tech wireless communication system developed by Bryce Clark has been
engineered specifically to address many of these long-standing industry concerns.
Key design improvements include:
- Visually channel-matched wireless components, eliminating many pairing problems
common with existing wireless systems - Clear LED status indicators providing immediate battery and operational feedback to ramp
crews - Durable industrial construction designed specifically for harsh airline ramp environments
- Talk-through functionality, allowing users to hear surrounding speech without removing the
headset - Programmable configuration capability for large fleet deployment and channel
management
These improvements simplify operation for ramp personnel while reducing maintenance
complexity for airline technical departments.”
